1Q1. Can PMI arrange for my hotel reservations?
A1. PMI has secured discounted rates at selected hotels throughout Accra. You may reserve your hotel accommodations directly with your hotel of choice. Accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis

Registration and Registration IDs

1Q1. What is a Registration ID?
A1. You will receive a Registration ID (Reg ID) number when your conference registration is paid in full. The Reg ID will appear on your meeting confirmation
2Q2. I registered on site for conference and did not get a Registration ID at that time. How can I get one?
A2. Registration IDs can be found on attendee name tags which are distributed at check-in. In addition, Registration IDs will be emailed to the e-mail address on file for those who registered on site.
3Q3. Can I join PMI and register for congress at the same time?
A3. Yes, a non-member or expired member can purchase membership through the registration website. Simply enter the registration portal as a non-member. During the registration process you are able to add PMI individual member dues and the application fee to your cart. You will then be eligible to receive member pricing on conference. While completing this form will immediately entitle you to PMI member rates for conference registration, please be aware that your membership benefits will not begin until payment has been received and your application has been processed by PMI (approximately 120 hours, Monday through Friday).
4Q4. It is time for me to renew my PMI membership. Can I do that on the congress registration form?
A4. Membership renewals or reinstatements should be made by visiting MyPMI prior to completing the conference registration.
5Q5. Will I receive a registration confirmation letter?
A5. If you register online, an e-mail confirmation will be sent immediately to the e-mail address you provide on the registration form.
6Q6. How will I receive my nametag and conference materials?
A6. You may pick up your name tag and conference materials on-site at the registration area.

Payment

1Q1. Are group discounts available when more than ten people from an organisation attend congress?
A1. Organisations sending five or more employees are eligible to receive a discount off the individual member and non-member rates, as applicable. For details on how to register a group of ten or more, please email register@pmiafricaconference.com
2Q2. How do I obtain a receipt for my registration fee?
A2. You will receive a confirmation letter via e-mail once your registration is paid in full. This confirmation also serves as your receipt and contains your individual Registration ID number.
3Q3. Must I pay a cancellation fee?
A3. In fairness to all congress participants, it is necessary to charge a cancellation fee when a participant cancels his / her attendance prior to the congress. Please see our cancellation policy for fees associated with cancelling.

  • Up to 1 month: 50% refund
  • Less than 1 month: 20%
  • Less than 1 week: 10%
  • Event Day: No refunds
4Q4. What types of payment method are accepted?
A4. MasterCard Visa Wire transfers
5Q5. Am I able to pay by wire transfer?
A5. Yes. Please choose the wire transfer payment option on the payment section when completing your registration online. Once you complete your registration, instructions on how to complete your payment will be sent to you. Please be advised that funds must be received and verified by PMI no later than August 05, 2016. Registration is not confirmed or complete until an attendee's account is showing a zero balance. Attendees will not be permitted to attend sessions until any outstanding balance is settled. A credit/debit card is required to complete payment onsite.

Professional Development Units

1Q1. How many PDUs will I receive for attending global conference activities?
A1. The number of PDUs awarded varies for each activity at conference link to PDU page and for each certification type.
2Q2. How do I claim PDUs for the congress? How do I file for PDUs?
A2. PDUs will be uploaded into PMI's Continuing Certifications Requirements System (CCRS) within threeo weeks of the close of congress for keynote and area of focus sessions. Each attendee is responsible to select area of focus sessions prior to the session start and ensure that their badge is scanned at the start of the session to receive PDU credit for attending the class.
